Hi, I'm Veronica,
My gr-gr-grandfather's name was George Washington Ruby (b.3-31-1861)(d.6-21-1915).
I have no idea where he came from, but he died in Jackson county AR. He was married to Susan Francis Batterton in 1884 and had 4 children. They are... Maggie Gertrude(1884-1962);Myrtle Eveline(1888-1988);Perry(1892-?); and Jewell(1895-1979). Fannie died in 1902 and he married a second time to Leary Samples. She had 2 children of her own, Sam and Dewey. They had children...Dean, Eva, Henry Green, George Jr. and Anna Belle together. George Jr.(2nd marriage) and Jewell(1st marriage) and families lived around Portagesville MO (New Madrid county) This is also where his second wife came from I'd heard. He is buried in Jackson county at Ballew's Chapel. Fannie is at Hankins cemetery . I don't know where Leary is buried. Hope to hear from you. This is the first light at the end of the tunnel I've seen! Veronica
