RUEBOTTOM (& var.) of Preston, Lancs, Uk

Hello fellow RUEBOTTOM researchers,
I have not been able to break through my brick wall for about seven years now and the time has come to get out there and get past this minor obstruction!

My 2xgrt grandmother was Elizabeth RUEBOTTOM, according to the 1841 Census she was (abt.) 45 years of age, married to my 2xgrt grandfather, Edward SARGEANT (m.30 November 1826, Walton-Le-Dale)and living at 307 Ribbleton Lane, Preston.
Elizabeth died the same year, (Mar qtr) yet still managed to make it onto the Census.

Living with her young family was a son by her previous marriage to William DICKINSON (25 Dec 1816, St.John's Preston). Son William DICKINSON was born 31 Mar 1819, Preston and remained living with the Sargeant family following his mother's death, it is possible there were other children born of this union but only William followed her to her new home & family.

I have been unable to locate any details of Elizabeth's birth. As per the IGI, her name was RUEBOTTOM at the time of her marriage to William. Her marriage to Edward does not appear at all but was definitely on the film I viewed as RUBOTTOM. On my grtgrandfather's birth certificate she is a RAMSBOTTOM, so 2 out of 3 aint bad. Either way I can not locate her birth which would have been about 1795-ish, give or take an ish.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or better still a connection???
Thanks in advance,
Michelle KAHLER, Ipswich, QLD, Aust.
