Larry, so very sorry to hear about your sister - please accept my condolences.
I did a little quick search on Ancestry.com:
John S. Rheuark b. @ 1781 Horry County, SC on the 1830 US Census -
might be relative - at least shows that Rheuark's were in that area
early on - If you can find John S. Rheuark in the 1790 SC Census that
would be very good.
I did also find a George Rheuark (may be George D. Rheuark)
b. @ 1853 SC -age 17
living with "Sydney M. Jordan age 26 - farmer b. SC
All this in the 1870 US Federal census - George Rheuark may have been
living with the family as a farm hand, or it might be a relative of his -
maybe his sister married S.J.Jordan - one never knows how those things work
when we find people living with another family.
Don't give up searching - I have had pieces of info come along 3-4 years after posting a query!Finally found some sisters of my father that way - imagine!
Sisters by the first wife - not the wife who fathered my father - does that make sense?
