Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

If the old files were Reunion files, and you still have them, or the hard drive they were on, you should be able to copy them again. If not, mark the folks in one group, and exort that group to a new file. Then do another group, etc. till you get them split up the way you want them?

Of course, you could leave them all in the one large file and then just do the split when you want to extract some smaller group for whatever reason?
