GENERATIONS [PC version] and Windows XP

I have been using Sierra's GENERATIONS Deluxe 6.0 with Windows 98se.
I recently upgraded to Windows XP Professional.
GENERATIONS 6.0 [PC version] is not compatible with Win XP.
[ I even tried to run it in Win98 compatibility mode ].

I need to upgrade my genealogy software.
I've been using REUNION/GENERATIONS for several years and really like the features, etc., although I'm disappointed that I have to upgrade everytime I install a new version of Windows.

Can anyone tell me if newer versions of GENERATIONS work with Windows XP?

Does anyone know if Sierra plans to market an XP version.
[ I've attempted to find out by e-mail, but only get computer-generated responses from Sierra, which don't answer my question ].

I'm guessing that Sierra will eventually stop marketing the PC versions of GENERATIONS. IF I have to switch to another product, can anyone recommend a genealogy program that has most or all the features that GENERATIONS has?
