Please respond directly to my email at mahard@jps.net

Please note I do not have any further information on this family other than the information posted or on other enslaved Royster family.

I am interested in Edmond Royster who in 1870 turns up near the family of William Jones and his wife Nancy Ragland near Fishing Creek in Granville County, NC. This are falls into the Oxford District. William Jones had an enslaved man named Edmond listed in his estate and I would like to contact anyone who knows anything about this Edmond Royster, especially if they information to confirm he was the same man enslved by William Jones.

Based on census records and death certificates, Edmond Royster married Frances Flagg. Their two youngest daughters Sarah (born 1876) an Cora (born 1880) left death certificates. Sarah married Elijah L. Hart and was a teacher in Oxford, NC. Cora died in 1925 and married G. McTootle. There were other ichildren including Lilie (born 1854) who married John Young and Richard, Jinnie, William, and Junius. Most are not easily traceable in the census records.
