Who was the Following William Royse or Roice?? Land. Record, of Thomas Piercy This land. record, was obtained at the court house in Sullivan Co. Tn. It is on file at the Recorders office in Deeds Book 4 pages 778 & 779. This Indenture made this thenth day of May in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and two between WILLIAM ROYCE of the county of Sull- ivan in the state of Tennessee of the one part and THOMAS PARSCE of the county of Sullivan and state aforesaid of the other. Whereas what for said in con- sideration of the sum of six hundred and fifty six dollars and sixty cents cur- rent money in hand paid to the said ROICE at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt where of the said WILLIAM ROISE hath hereby acknowledge have bargained and sold in fee simple and confirmed unto him the said THOMAS PERSEY his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and seven acres be the same more or less lying & being in said county of Sullivan on Horse Creek, including the plantation where said PERSEY now lives and bounded as followith. Wis Begining at a white oak then along the old line North forty two degs . East eighty four poles to a white oak then new line south thirty six degs. east ninety six poles to a white oak then south eight degs west twenty six poles to a white oak then south twenty one degs west ninety poles to a white oak on said old line thence along said line formally ISSAC TITSWORTHS south seventeen degs. East seventy six poles to a corner white oak then along the old line south sixty five degs West twenty six poles to a small white oak then new line north fifty eight degs.West eighteen poles to a white oak then north thirty degs west fifty poles to a hickory tree then north seventy three degs with one'hundred and thirty six poles to a stake. Then along said old line east one hundred and seventy six poles to a dogwood and white oak at the beginning it contain- ing all the land that ISAAC TITSWORTH and THOMAS TITSWORTH SENr granted to DAVID BRAGG by deed of conveyance together with all houses ,fences ways water and water courses ,orchards and all appertionances belonging to or in any wise appertaining with all rents Revisions of rents and all other the Estate right title that now or ever here after may appertain to the same free from trouble hinderance of any person or persons whatever law- fully claiming the same to have and to hold all and singular the aforsaid land and premises with every part and parcel there of from all incumberances of mortgages dowers and revertions by or from me the said William ROAGE saying either person or persons whatever and to be to the only use of him the said THOMAS PERSEY his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever. Lasty I the said WILLIAM ROYSE do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said THOMAS PERSEY his heirs executors adminlstrstors and assign that I have full and the only right title and lawful authority to sell and con- vey the aforsaid land and premises and will warrant and forever defend the right and title of said land and premises to the said THOMAS PERSEY his heirs ,executors administrators and assigns forever and while at any time at the reasonable quest and charge of him the THOMAS PERSEY make any other conveyance assurance that shall be by law inssured to pay the fee simple estate of the said land and premises forever from me to him the said THOMAS PERSEY his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above ment- ioned signed sealed and delivered in the presents of us.
