Royer Family Genealogy Forum

Does anyone out there know of a family relationship between the John Royer family and the James Moore Swank family? They were both well known in the iron industry. John Royer transferred a lease in salt mines at Saltsburg, PA to George Washington Swank, father to James Moore Swank. Then John Royer moved his family to Johnstown, PA. About four years later, George Washington Swank followed to Johnstown. George Washington Swank chose Royer for his daughter Genevieve's middle name. (She married Powell Stackhouse.) James Moore Swank wrote of both his father and John Royer in Cambria County Pioneers, mentions briefly that George Washington Swank was his father, but says nothing of a family relationship with John Royer. Was it just business and perhaps a personal friendship, or was it family? John Royer was born in 1778, George Washington Swank in 1810 and James Moore Swank in 1832. The father of George Washington Swank, John Swank, was my g-g-g-grandfather, I would certainly appreciate anything anyone might be able to offer. Thank you!
