Hello Jerome: James Wesley Royal told me you had extensive information on African American Royall/Royal's.. I notice on this thread (4/01,10/01 5/02) that Grief Royall was the son of Rave (a slave owned by John C. Royall). I am new at this and find the posts confusing..about who married who and what their childrens names were.

I am interested in the post of 10/01. It may help me find more information about my great-grandfather Abraham Royall b. 1835 (Virginia or North Carolina). I found him in Athens, Texas Henderson County in 1870 with a wife and family, but I cannot find information between 1835-1869.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....Ellinore
