I do have the family group sheet created by Effie Nichols, granddaughter of Edward Nichols, that refers to John Nichols/Nicholas's wife. It was sent to me by one of their descendants, in response to a posting I made back in 2002 looking for the family of Mary Rowzee and John Nicholas. Note that though many of the descendants spell this "Nichols," some of them still spell it "Nicholas." I have used that family group sheet as a basis for further research on this family, hoping I could find something to prove that Mary was a sister of the other children I mentioned. I can send you what I have on the Nichols/Nicholas family, and yes, I'd like to see what you have on them as well. If you prefer, you can eMail it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
By the way, the two maiden aunts who raised the children could have been Rosanna and Susanna Rowzee. They were still maiden ladies living together in Frederick County as late as 1860. I agree that John and/or Mary could have died well before 1827, which is the date of a guardianship for "..Elizabeth Nichols, orphan of John (Shenandoah County Minutes Book)." From what I have found in the Personal Property Tax records, it appears that some of this Nichols/Nicholas family was still living in Shenandoah County as late as 1830, but they were all in Ohio by the 1830's.
