Was Lodwick a Huguenot?

As an earlier poster pointed out, Rozee is a Huguenot name. There was a huge immigration of Huguenots to Canterbury beginning in the mid-1500's too. So, was Lodwick "Rowzie" actually a mispelling (common in those days) or "Rozee"? Were his parents French Protestants? There are still Rozee's in England (I ran into some of them on the internet). If the name were corrupted (and, as we all know, the spelling has always been pretty fluid) it may explain why the name "Rowzie" doesn't show up in England anymore but "Rozee" does.

So are we all going to have to start drinking wine and eating croissants now?
