We are looking for descendants of Edmond Rowsey, b. 1763, Amherst Col, VA. and his wife, Elizabeth Hilley Rowsey. Edmond moved from VA to Elbert Co., GA about 1790, where he married Elizabeth on 17 July 1793. Edmond was the son of John Rowsey and Mary Holliday. During the early 1800s, Edmond and Elizabeth moved to Alabama Territory (later Fayette Co., AL), where Edmond died 13 April 1838. After his death, Elizabeth moved westward to MS with one of her children, where she lived the rest of her life. If you are descended from this couple, please contact Nancy B.
