My brother has just come across the marraige certificate of our grandmother Kate Rowley(formerly Kate Robinson)(1899?). On the Marraige certificate her father was listed as W.H. Robinson and her mother (as quaint as my brother and I thought it) was listed as Mrs W. H. Robinson. Theyre home was listed in Greenville County. My grandfather was Claude B. Rowley...with his father listed as William P. Rowley and mother listed as Emma M. Rowley. They might have also been from Greenville County....but Pickens County was listed somehow too. Kate Robinson and Claude Rowley apparently aloped(woohoo) after WWI, due to they apparently got married in Sylva NC in 1919. My brother and I imagined that the two of them left Greenville County and drove to Sylva, to which at that time maybe was the next couthouse the could reach, to which they apparently were married on the courthouse steps. If any of the Robinson/Rowleys decendents come across this please contact me. We have no background documentation on my mother side of the family. We would love to finally reconnect the entire family once again. Notify Administrator about this message?
