Samuel Rowlands b c 1898
I am hoping to find out more about my Rowlands relations. Most connections seem to be with Angelsey, Llanfairfechen and Chester.
My Grandfather Samuel Rowlands fought at Gallipoli, but I am not sure what his regiment would be, he was also in Palestine during WW1.
We have some handwritten poems written in Welsh from the late C19th by my great-grandfather (poss Richard or John Rowlands) - he was Samuels father and a small landowner in Angelsey - but the property had to be sold by Samuels younger brother Daniel while Samuel was fighting in the 1914-18 war.Daniel then moved to Llanfairfechan (?)and when Samuel returned to Wales at some
point Samuel established himself in Chester; where my mother Mary and her older brother Allan were born.
