Hi Melanie, thanks for replying. Not sure if there's a connection. Here's what I have:
Griffith Rowlands b abt 1801 Aberffraw d 1854 mar 1821 to Jane Williams. Children Samuel b 1822, Jane b 1823, Sarah Jane b 1826, Griffith b 1828, Mary b 1828, Catherine b 1830, Margaret b 1831, Anne b 1836, Hugh b 1838, Sarah b 1840. Only got this info from the LDS website so could be wrong. It's Margaret I'm interested in, married a George Gommar Jones in 1852. She died in Australia in 1897.
This was given to me by another genforum researcher - 1871 census shows a Griffith Rowland age 50 Bodedern, Anglesey, Wales, Head, Aberffraw farmer of 22 acres with wife Catherine age 53 Aberffraw and children Ann age 18 and son William age 11. Not sure if its the same people as the wife is Catherine not Jane. Who knows!!
