Thanks for the information. Let me get this straight in my mind. Reuban brother of Micajah married a Patsy Ewing, but not a sister of Sydney. We do not have any indication as to Patsy's father. Sydney is the daughter of John, son of Robert Ewing. Is this correct?
Also, I have Sydney is the daughter of John Ewing and Martha Baker: John is the son of Robert Ewing and Mary Baker: Robert is the son of Findley Ewing and Jane Porter.
Is this correct and if so, do you have any other information on these ancestors or have the family tree back any further.
My husband's family is connected through the Rowland's:
Macajah and Sydney Ewing: son Jesse Powell Rowland and Rebecca Blackburn: son Medford Rowland and America Amos Edmondson Parker: daughter of Medford Rowland, Ella married Sterling Price Burgin and this is my husband's grandparents. I have quite a bit of information on Jesse Powell Rowland and decendents but not much on the earlier generations. I would be glad to share anything of interest to you.
