I find this information interesting in regards to a possible sister/brother moving to Ala and then to Texas. I've been trying to find a connection due to a DNA maternal match from Ala. My Rebecca ROwland(maiden name) born abt 1800 N.C and had a daughter ELizabeth b 1828 Tn. MY DNA match was born ALA and settled in TX. Rebecca's father was George W ROwland died Ar. 1844. BEcause records are scarce I sometimes wonder if sisters raised their children as well. Good Luck on your research.
