Ah, you have hit the cruz of many a Rowland searcher. Your thoughts are in the right area, but a generation or two further back than Elizabeth's father, if the information I found a couple of years ago on Ancestry.Com are true. The Father and Mother of Elizabeth, Lloyd/Loyd, Thomas, Jessie and Henry Rowland Still haven't been documented by hard copy and, if the Ancestry.Com information is correct, these are more brothers and sisters: SHERWOOD, SARAH, MARY, WILLIAM T AND jOEL-JOSEPH ROWLAND/
The Carroll Co book I mentioned in my other short message, dosen't extend Aaron Green (Sr) family background other than saying, he was from NC. Here is a summary:
Aaron Green, Sr x Elizabeth Rowland
Children: Rowland Green x Nancy Pickler
Elizabeth-Betsy Green x James E. Cox
Aaron Green Jr x Rebecca Jane Hobbs
The questionable Rowland info I'll capitalize. Someday I hope to prove the connection. :

I do know that the non-capped names were brothers and sisters. If the others are as well then possibly the connection is made. From the 'net info, it appears that the Rowland clan was connected to the Virginia area and other parts of the original 13 colony states. Good Luck
