Terry,
I have also been looking for information on B.A. Rowell of Barnwell, SC.From the 1860 and 1870 censuses, I have gathered that his name was Bently Alonzo Rowell. He was born about 1810.His daughter married a Nicholas Collins of Barnwell around 1870.Collins is my wife's maiden name.Nicholas was her great-grandfather.B.A. 's daughter's name was Martha Mariah Anna Louisa Rowell.I know it seems like a long name, but her son named a daughter of his the same, and she is still alive, so I know it is correct. Also, Bently had a son named Bently Alonzo, and another son named James Daniel O. Rowell. Most of his children seemed to have 3 names just like he did.I don't know what the W. was for. What information do you have on this line?
Robert
