My recollection is that Wilhelmus Rowe(Rau, Rouw, etc) was the son of Johannes Rau of the Little Nine Partners land grant.(Pine Plains - Milan NY area in Dutchess County) Johannes Rau was one of the original settlers of the Milan NY area and was from the Palatine migration to New York in Germantown. Somewhere in my research I seem to remember that one of his sons moved north. I do have some info on this family from various historic references and records. Not sure if I have alot on William specifically but I will check and also let you know where I found where the Rowe sons went to. Also there is a rumored indian/Rowe connection - i have a bit of info on that too.
