After looking over my research on George Washington Rowden who married Mary Elizabeth Tweedle in Jersey Co IL, it appears that he too is not a child of William Echols Rowden and Mary Levina Pruitt. He should be listed as a child in the 1830 census and is not included in the count. Also he reports that he was born in TN. William Echols Rowden married Mary Levina Pruitt in 1814 in what was then Madison Co IL of the Illinois Territory. They never left the state of IL.
