I am looking for information on Eliza C. Rowden b. 1874 in Carthage, Missouri. I don't know for sure, but I suspect Rowden was a married name. She states that her mother, (name not given) was born in Johnson county Arkansas, she did not know when, and her grandmother, Eliza Harguss (maiden name), was born in the Cherokee Nation about 1816. She also states that Eliza was 3/4 Cherokee. I would like to know if this is actually her married name, and if so, who was her husband, who her parents were, etc. My Hargis family was in Carthage, Missouri about this time so I suspect Eliza may be the Eliza Hargis I am researching. Thanks for any help.
