ANDREAS/ANDREW RAU/ROW - According to family lore, 1st Rowes cames to America from England. No date. What I have documented. Andrew was Naturalized 1761 in Frederick Co., MD. Back then, Frederick Co. was all western MD including Carroll Co. He had 3 sons(maybe more)- Arthur(Rev. War vet), George & Michael. In 1784 he split/sold his plantation to them. In the Deeds, his name is written Andrew Row but he signed Andreas Rau. That's all we have on Andreas. No dates or burial location. Son Michael bought lot #2 in newly founded Emmitsburg in 1785. He had a son Michael who moved onto Waynesboro who I descended from. Arthur & Michael are buried at the Alias Lutheran Cemetery SE of Emmitsburg. I have the Wills of Arthur and Michael listing their children. A genealogist told me that most immigrants entered through Philadelphia/Lancaster, not Baltimore. In any case, haven't been able to find anything on Andreas. Have you got anything on him. Thanks for taking this all in.
