Leslie, I'm a Mitchell researcher and only recently determined that I descended from Richard Routt, through his son John Routt b 02 Feb 1711/12 Northumberland Co., VA. John Routt's wife was Winifred Sydnor b 06 Feb 1712/13; their daughter Lucy Routt married my ancestor 5g gf James Mitchell. (Later she m bet. 1778/79 Charles Rice b 04 Jan 1741/42 St. Stephens Parish, Northumberland Co., VA as his 2nd of 3 wives.)
I have Richard's wife as Mary Frances Adams b aft 1655 d 20 Jan 1715/16 St. Stephen's parish, Northumberland Co., VA. The latter information came from Internet sources that I do not know if accurate.
Could you please post a copy of Richard's will? I have Richard Routt dying 26 Feb 1709/10 St. Stephens Parish, Northumberland Co., VA. Hopefully, it would help me sort the different children that sources claim? If you prefer my email is wraywalker@accessatc.net.
