It is great to learn that a "Routon" Bible exists with dates & names in it. Thanks for sharing the info.

Lilla/Tilla E. & Ella J. Routon are probably daughters of Andrew & Martha. On the 1900 AL census (Calhoun County), Martha J. "Rowton" - age 62 - is listed as having had 6 children with 3 on them still living at that time. Theoda, Sarah, & Eugene are still living in 1900; therefore, I assume that William has died and that there were two children who were born & died between census years. The fact that they are listed between Theoda E. & Sarah J. strengthens that assumption. One problem is that the list includes one b. April 1866 & another b. June 1866. Sarah J. is on the July 15, 1870 AL, Chambers Co., census as being 4 years old. What are your thoughts about this?

I will address the Walton-Williamson family & family of Joseph & Theoda Parker in a later posting.

Nancy
