Marianne - (i) Thomas and Robert - no, I don't know whether Thomas went with R to Canada, though it seems likely as I've been unable to find either of them in later British census data. (ii) Your ?great grandfather Edward is buried in Hemingborough churchyard. In 1881 he and Hannah were in Selby with daughters Nancy and Mary; in 1901 they were back in Hemingborough. One James Routh was killed in WWI. This is as far as I followed your line, buta family Bible must be great...(iii) Alfred Kelsey: new to me, haven't come across this name. (iv) You and I are related several generations back. Your Thomas Routh who married Rosannah Taylor, had sisters Ann, Mary and Hannah and a brother Joseph b 1802 who is mygreat great grandfather.Joseph married Elizabeth Wood from Drax, went to Goole, had 2 sons that I know of, my great grandfather John who was a boatbuilder at Winteringham (and another Thomas). (v) I've checked everything back to John Routh/Rooth father of Thomas who m. Rosanna. Before THAT John, I've only what info I've gleaned from internet; one day I'll go yo York and look at Parish records. (vii) Glad to be in touch. How do I contact you - this is new to me. Good wishes, Jane
