Since a lot of us are amateur researchers- though eager ones!- I have a research question I hope you will be kind enough to answer. In the referencs to Therese Roussin, my understanding is that "b." in the records, either Jette' or Tanguay, refers in French to "baptisme" and not birth date, so the "b." date might differ from day of birth and that the "n" = naissance, which is actual birth date. Is that correct? In some cases I have found 5 or 6 months difference between these dates. Also, (sorry, that is two questions!)isn't L'Ange Gardien the church where the baptism took place- Guardian Angel Church in the town of Montmorecy, province of Quebec? I want to record my information accurately. Thanks.
