Harold,
I have a James Rourke (Rouka) in Minock, Illinois (Woolford Co.) born about 1873 in Ireland. He is married to Ellen Leonard, with 4 children Julia, John, Martin, and Michael. He is listed as a coalminer, along with his Leonard brother-in-laws. Would this be your James? (I'm researching the Leonard side) Suppossedly they were from Queen's Co (Laois) Ireland.
