Thanks so very much for your clarification of the marker reading. (We corresponded last right after my cousin did the 37-marker DNA test.)

Yes, I read Bob Baird's very well-documented Rountree materials and have corresponded with him, as well. He is a descendant of William Rountree's son, Seaborn Jones Rountree, but, alas, not a direct-line one. Having done a little research on the families of both Seaborn and Chesley B. Rountree, I suspect there are many descendants out there. I would be delighted to underwrite the DNA test for a willing Rountree!

I'll keep you in the loop if and when I make contact with a descendant and certainly the results can be added to the Rountree DNA project then.
