I will start with what I know. Daniel Roundtree Goldsmith was born about 1845 in North Carolina and died in Ceterville, TN. He was married three times to 1)Marcha Fox before 1871, 2) Marthy Logan Nov 15, 1871 in Blount, Al, and 3) to a third wife. His children where William D (1869), John T. (1870), Samuel T (1877), Daniile Marion (Jan 13, 1878), Nancy C. (Dec 23, 1879), Louis (August 13, 1866), Tom, Robert (1883)

We have assumed that Daniel R's father was William Goldsmith and may have married Isabell Roundtree. However, it is now felt that Daniel R's father may have been Charles E. and his father Wesley.

So any information you can provide on those early years would be appreciated.
