Kyle is my son Frank my big brother. They didn't spaeak German, but had an understanding of the language, as it is very familiar to the dialect the spoke in Belgium. I now understand that the borders in Europe were not fixed to their current placement until after the war. The region they wre from was West Flanders? I understand that the family name probably originated in England in the 1600s.
