from the 1886 book "The History of the Susquehanna & Juniata Valleys" - page 1445 (Snyder County section)
"Dr. Isaac Rothrock was born November 22, 1798, near Lewistown, Mifflin County......In Jefferson Medical College he attended three regular courses of Lectures, after which he located in Middleburg, Union County, and practiced in copartnership with Dr. Henry Lechner, to whose sister he was married. She was a niece of Governor Simon Snyder. Later he moved to Adamsburg, where he purchased property and remained until 1864. At first he pracitced medicicne without a diploma and then obtained a complimentary diploma from the Eclectic Medical College of Philadelphia......He practiced medicine for 45 years over a large extent of territory. He died on June 8, 1872."
