I have received much Roth information from Switzerland. The Christian in my family was born 21 May 1829 and died 11 May 1874 (in Switzerland). His widow Katharina Mueller then married Johann Gugger who was born 12 Dec 1840, date of death unknown (in USA - most likely Missouri). The names of the 9 children on the photo I have are Katherine (Kate) who married Walter Beatty and they had 5 children, the eldest died as a child. They then divorced. Kate then married widower Johan Ernst Gerber in North Dakota.
The names on the back of a photo I have are back row, mother (Katherine - "Kate"), Rose Solderman, Aunt Lizzie, Louise, Rose Claus, Rudy; front row, Gotlieb, Mary Shaur, Grandma Katherina Mueller-Roth-Gugger), and Chris.
Do you think 'your' Rudy is the one mentioned on the photo I have? I know Chris Roth and Gotlieb's son Albert came to Alberta, Canada to settle. I am in touch with his daughter Clara. Others may have come as well.
My grnadfather was Ernst and his first wife Ida Beutler's son. Katherine had 4 children when she married Ernst and they had two daughters.
