Carla :

I notice you have several messages concernong the Rotan/Wrotan family . True, that john Rotan bon 1794 in South Carolina, must have moved to Alabama and eventually to Woodville area in Tyler County Texas , He did have a son John born about 1826 in Alabama and also a son Robert born in Alabama around 1820 . This son Robert had a son named John , who had a son named Robert Arnold Rotan born about 1899 in Woodville area of Texas .

The connection to the Rotans in Waco, Texas I do not know, but do know that there was a Rotan family in Waco around that time period.

A offspring from the Rotan family in Woodville lives here in Fort Worth , Texas and another offspring lives in South Carolina.

Will be glad to give you whatever information I have about this friend of mine .

Ed. Bregenzer/Fort Worth , Texas
