My grandfather Lloyd Rost was born in 1897 in Dubuque, Ia. to Max and Elizabeth (Rupprecht) Rost. His father Max was killed in a train accident in Strawberry Point, Ia. in 1906. Max and his sister Gertrude had immigrated to the US from Posen, Prussia in 1881 with their parents Louis and Mina (Wach) Rost. Louis died a year later.
Lloyd's second marriage was to Mabel Pratt and they moved out here to Nevada in 1929, where we have been ever since. With the distances involved a lot of relationships and communications were lost. We have some information regarding the family but would be thrilled if anyone could point us in the right direction (i.e. descendants of Gertrude, siblings of Louis or Mina, subsequent marriages, or whatever).
