Do you have access to the census? I found Penfield Rossetter, wife Sarah and 7 children, Thomas being the youngest in 1880, Pomroy, Meigs, OH. Penfield was born in Connecticut as were his parents. Sarah was born in OH but here parents were born in Maryland. Does this help? (I am not directly related. My gr-grandmother's sister was married to a Rossiter in OH.)
