sorry, I have proof from you, now that this Edmund Rossing has hardly any connection with the Westphalian branch of my family.

I can only advise you to contact
Lothar Rössing,
Mühlenbreit 17,
D 06366 Koethen 0049 3496 55 23 36 who has done a lot of research on the other family branches (Hamburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Saxony) which are a separate unity as they obviously do not fit together. I do not know whether he is able to communicate in English, he has three or four sons and is a pensioner.

There does exist also a famous East German photographer (dead ?), the more famous Austrian artists and Professor Karl Rössing can be traced back to the Saxonian Branch.

Another Rössing was Captain on a huge Passenger Ship in the 60's and my brother Rainer Rössing met him on his way to USA. He is now living in Brandon, Manitoba, Assiniboine College. His son is Carl Rössing.

Any Questions ?

Ralf Rössing
