Thank you Sarah for the very interesting input about your house. Did you also see the maps showing most of the Le Poirier houses in the 1830's? Had I known last year, I would have loved to have stayed in your house for part of my time in that area, alas... As it turns out though, I did stay in another house, in Antrain (La Morissais), where Julien Rossignol's grandfather and great grandfather had lived. -See internal photos? It would be very kind of you to share those if you are willing to, especially of the beams and other structural members. -While at Le Poirier, I met Miss Cérès and left with her a stone I brought from Julien Rossignol's farm in St-Denis. I also brought back a stone from Le Poirier to give to the distant cousins who still own the St-Denis property. -Again, thank you for adding to the interest of this adventure that took me to Le Poirier!
