John and Sophia (Howard) Rosser

I have been researching Adrian Carson and associated collateral families. Mathew Carson, son of Adrian Carson, married Mary Caroline Rosser, daughter of John Rosser and Sophia Howard in 1875.

Mary Caroline Rosser was born in 1855 in Illinois.

I have researched census records, etc and have found no reference to this Rosser family. Has anyone found any information on this family while researching their families?
