Gene,
William McKinley Ross, son of William Carter Ross, was a dear friend of my father. We visited their farm in El Reno OK often. Wm C came to Ok as a Buffalo soldier and was stationed at Ft Supply and probably Ft Reno where he married a Cheyenne-Arapaho lady and had sveral children. After she died he married Mina Schoonover. I remember visiting with her when she was quite old and bedridden. You probably know all of this. Which of his children are you descended from? I knew Lucy and have met Richard. I really haven't followed the VA line as I was only interested in the OK line. Do you know anything more about Alexander Green. There must be a fascinating story there.
