I found my Ross families in the Kearney City Directory 1908 Ross, Alonzo (Signa) butcher Ross, Edwin (Leona) carp Ross, Harry M. lab 1709 Av H Ross, Rebecca J. (wid Charles) 425 E. 22d Ross, Wm C (Nellie A.) barber basement Kearney Opera House The 1900 Nebraska Buffalo County census has has Wm C. Ross born Iowa. Father born in Pennsylvania. Wife Nellie A. born Iowa. Daughter, Helen I., born Neb. and a son unreadable. Lou (Alonzo) Ross born Iowa. Father born Pennsylvania. Wife Signa born Sweeden. Son Charles born Nebraska. They are my Great Grandparents. His name was Leonidus (Lon) Alfonso Ross Rebecca Jane Smith Ross is their mother. I believe their father was Charles Ross. William C. Ross had burial plots where some of them were buried. I have a picture of a bar in Kearney where Lon Ross worked as a bartender. My Grandmother Glayds Ross learned to whistle sitting on the bar. They also lived in Minden, Nebraska on a farm. My grandmother said she could see the lights of Kearney from her window. They eventually moved to Kansas where Lon Ross worked a farm owned by his brother who lived in Kansas City. Rebecca Jane Smith Ross lived with Lon Ross and his wife Signa. Hope someone can help me with these lines. I can't find them in Iowa where Lon and William C. Ross were born. Notify Administrator about this message?
