Hello Forum,
Today I received a copy of my 4X great-grandparents, Levi Kelly/Kelley and Rebecca Ann Ross.
I was told that Rebecca Ann was a Cherokee woman and I was wondering if anyone knows if she has connections with John Ross?
I don't have much information about Rebecca Ann and her children but this is what I do have:
Rebecca married Levi Kelly/Kelley abt 1841 either in Ohio or Kanawha Valley, Virginia (now Kanawha County, West Virginia). They had these children together:
Tabitha b. abt. 1841 in Ohio
James Henry or Harmon (my line) b. October 22, 1842 in Big Creek, Lawrence County, Ohio m. Lucy Ann Foster January 24, 1864 in Kanawha County, Virginia (now West Virginia)
Mary J. b. abt. 1849 in Ohio
Sarah A. b. abt. 1852 in Ohio
Joseph b. abt. 1854 in Ohio m. Emily (Emma) Emeline McSurley on December 28, 1876 in Boyd County, Kentucky
Melinda Jane b. abt. 1858 in Ohio m. 1st. John McSurley on December 13, 1876 in Boyd County, Kentucky m. 2nd Dr. Elijah Koontz (this information is new to me so don't have any particulars yet)
Ann Eliza or Eliza Ann b. October 18, 1857 in Lawrence County, Ohio m. William McSurley on March 31, 1875 in Boyd County, Kentucky
Levi (may or may not be a Jr.) b. abt. 1864 Ohio d. on January 1, 1945 in Shrewsbury, Kanawha County, West Virginia.
