I'm looking for connections to a Cecil Ross in India in 1930/31. The only official document I've found in the India Office records shows him as father to son Rodney (who died in early 1930s) with "Gladys" as the mother. Cecil and Gladys were also known as "Harris-Ross".
I have a Cecil P Ross (born 1890 Glasgow) who traces back to Sir John Ross, arctic explorer. And while this chap Cecil does appear to have immigrated to India, and died in the 1930s as would fit with my grandfather (with his father as an Indian civil servant Bengal) I am still having trouble tying this Cecil P Ross with the one in Bangalore who fits into my family tree. ANyone know anything more?
Other names of interest include Edna Dorothy Ross who was apparently widowed and married a Terence Kearne Giddens in Calcutta in 1933. She immigrated to the UK in 1950 and travelled with other members of my family. Would love to know her connection, and if she was a relative of the Cecil Ross who appeared in Bangalore in 1930 etc.
Does anyone have Beasley/BeaZley and Ross connections, since the Cecil P Ross travelling in the 1920s from the UK, travelled with an ELizabeth Gordon Ross (formerly Beasley) and a Joan Elizabeth Ross born in the 1920s, UK. They may also be connected.
