James Ross and Mary Ellen McKinnon immigrated to Canada

I wonder if these two people are ancestors of mine? Mary Ellen was an orphan who was raised by Rev. Laughlin Cameron. They apparently immigrated to the Huron Tract in Ontario. My great great grandfather was Laughlin Ross who married "Minnie" (?Mary A.) McKay. They lived for some time in East Nissouri, Oxford Cornty then moved to Kincardine.

Any info about James and Mary and family would be greatly appreciated.
