I am researching the ROSS - ASBILL / ASBALD line. I need any and all information on this line and I need to know information on John ROSS to see if related to Dorothy.
I also need to know if Dorothy ROSS is related to the line of John ROSS who was born about 1790 and was the Chief of the Cherokee Nation, as was the only elected Chief.
I think he was born in Turkeytown Ala., and died in Washington, DC.
I think that Dorothy ROSS married a Joseph ASBILL / ASBALD. I think she was born about 1735 and I think they moved to NC about 1765.
I think they had a son named Aaron who married I think Nancy Ann BELCHER. I think they had a daughter named Nancy ASBELL.
I belive she married a Joshia TODDand they had a son named James TODD who married a Harriett BAILEY.
