Ephriam is my ancestor, too, via his son David, born in Powell's Fort Valley. Since Alexander was his and Maria's first born I suspect a possible connection to Alexander Ross of the 100,000 acres near Winchester in 1730. Alexander patented 2,373 acres in 1735 which he willed to his wife, Catherine. Haven't found anything to indicate who their offspring were, however, am stopping by the Handley Library in Winchester this Friday to see if the will or some other source might indicate same. Who are you from...Alexander or John who went to Ohio or David or Adam who stayed in the Fort?
