Our family (Roser, Switzerland) is descendant of the Roser's in the Alsace, France (that area often belonged to Germany, too). If anybody has information about
- Georg Roser (born approximately in 1780 and died approximately 1850 or 1860) (I've found some Georg Roser's on the net, but I don't think they're the right ones)
- His son Philipp, who emigrated to America as a Preacher (I know nothing about him (though very maybe he's one of the Roser's in York County (see: http://linnie.rootsweb.com/rosier2.htm)))
I'd be interested to exchange information with anybody who knows about them.
Another son of Georg Roser (born in Strasbourg in 1824), who was himself called Georg Roser but had the "nickname" of "Soldat Oswald" wrote an autobiography of which I have a copy. Two of the children of Soldat Oswald emigrated to America: Marie Roser (married: Marie Stimmbert) and Pauline Roser (married: Pauline Ackert).
