I am also looking at the Roser family in Kent and with regards to your message have found that in the 1861 Census WILLIAM ROSER AGE 64 (WIDOW) was living with his Brother THOMAS ROSER AGE 62 and his family, in Tonbridge, Kent. They were both born in Cowden, Sussex.

Let me know if this is a possible link and I can let you have the other family members etc.
