Paul ,

I've been searching for years for a Rosecrans who was in the Revolutionary War. According to an old unidentified letter found years ago my 3rd great grandfather was first married to a daughter of a Gen. Rosecrans.I have no idea if there is any truth to this but I did find my third great grandfathers son's death recorded in a very old ledger. It said his mother was Mary . I've wondered if Mary could have been a Mary Rosecrans. My third great grandfathers war of 1812 pension applications mentions no family but he does say he lived in NY, Indiana and Michigan. His son was born in Orange County, NY. In what appears to be after the fact bible records he is listed as born at West Point, NY.

Thanks Merry
