My ancestor Marmaduke Pierce Rosecrans went to the edge of the frontier in IA in the 1840s from PA. He was born in Ohio in 1822. He died in Clear Lake, IA (I think) in 1894. He had many children that I have not traced down descendants of very well. Charles, Juliet, Edgar, Alice, Flora (my line), and Harry are the ones I know of. Also, there are a few generations of his ancestors that I would like to sort out better. Anything sound familiar?
